PRODUCTION MANAGERS
We’re looking for two production line-managers – one to manage parts production (aluminium and composites) and one to manage production in our “sub-assembly” assembly hangar. Both positions require a person with the ability to manage between 15 and 30 employees working in a production environment. Metalwork and machinery experience would be useful in the parts manufacturing environment and sheet metal experience would be useful in the sub-assembly environment. Aviation experience is not critical in either – good analytical skills and the ability to get the most out of people would be more useful in both capacities. The positions pay between R10 000 and R20 000 per month, depending upon qualifications and experience.
HR MANAGER (AND ADMINISTRATOR)
We’re now at 118 employees and require the services of an HR manager to help manage our most important resource – the people who work for us. Understanding of HR management is essential, but intelligence with good communication skills will also count for a lot. (James used to be a labour lawyer, so some help will be forthcoming). Remuneration is R8 000 to R16 000.
TECHNICAL WRITER
We need the help of a technical writer to assist with the drafting of technical and construction manuals, pilot operating handbooks, maintenance manuals, continued airworthiness practises and the like. The applicant should be disciplined and willing to take responsibility for maintaining the company filing and document control system. We probably need some guidance on what the job pays – let us have your views.
SALES ADMINSTRATOR
We require the help of a sales administrator who is warm and friendly, competent in dealing with existing and potential customers, has a basic understanding of sales and invoicing and is competent on a computer. The position will pay between R7 500 and R12 500.
RECEPTIONIST
Finally, we need a receptionist who is friendly, organised and firm, and who is able to provide general administrative assistance. Computer skills are essential. Starting salary R5 500 or thereabouts.
