7-10 LAA SLING BUILD CHALLENGE – FROM KIT TO FLIGHT IN 7 DAYS!
The Airplane Factory, creators and manufacturers of the South African Sling Aircraft, are building a Sling 4 in record time at Sywell Aerodrome during the 70th Anniversary LAA Rally, UK.A complete aircraft kit was packed in South Africa and then delivered to Sywell Aerodrome UK on the 26th August.
Over the following 7 day period, the 10 person LAA 2016 build team, consisting of TAF employees and LAA UK volunteers will fully assemble the kit, ground run the engine and test fly the completed Sling 4 aircraft at the show.The build team will be working 12 hours a day at “The Airplane Factory Sling” display area and will be posting live feeds & images as the whole build goes down.
