David has been a huge supporter of The Airplane Factory and a fan of James, Mike and Jean’s adventures around the world for as long as they have been doing this. He spent many nights glued to his computer screen watching them make their way across oceans and deserts, he has been to every party we have thrown, and now finally has his own beautiful Sling.
I must say this has got to be one of the best paint jobs we have ever done, both the design and the quality of the job. Well done to David who refused to accept anything but perfect in his eyes.David also spent many hours designing his panel and many hours sitting next to Thabo, our panel expert, moving instruments around, changing switches and circuit breakers, finding the best set-up for his flying style. David comfortable on his first take off in ZU-JAR – (Also his son’s nickname). This Sling is kitted out with a Rotax 912iS motor, dual MGL iEFIS’s, parachute, strobes, transponder, LED landing lights and a beautiful pale grey leather interior. What a combination!
