After nearly two years of toil, Shifty Films’ latest masterpiece is ready to premiere, and you’re invited.
Date: 20th April 2016 | 19H00
Wild Landings : Namibia is the record of Mike Blyth, James Pitman and Lloyd Ross’s epic 2015 aerial exploration of Namibia. Not only does the film capture the freedom and adventure of flying in the dramatic Namibian landscape but, under the direction of Joelle Chesselet, the team traverses fascinating strands of the country’s history and people. The entire length and breadth of Namibia is covered and, as always, there’s a sting in the tail.
The last time this team made a film it won three prizes, including audience favourite at the Durban International Documentary Film Festival. Please come along to the Troyeville Hotel next Wednesday evening to look, drink, heckle and pass your critique on this latest effort.
Traditional Troyeville fare will be available for all those who arrive in time to eat before the screening, and of course the bar is open. The film, which starts at 8pm, is 78 minutes long – a short feature length version of a format which we hope to roll out into a television flying adventure series in the future.
Please bring your friends along and let us know what you think.
